Agnė Marcinkevičūtė (b. 1972, Lithuania) Agne Marcinkeviciute received MA degree in TV directing at Lithuanian Music Academy. She worked at Lithuanian Film Studios on various film projects as a director’s assistant, a film set administrator, and a script supervisor since 1993. Later she was a theatre studio director at Culture Centre of Vilnius Pedagogical University.

Agne Marcinkeviciute worked as a program director and editor for several TV programs at Lithuanian National Television and Vilnius TV.

Since 1999 she has written and directed numerous films, radio plays, and documentaries.

Agne Marcinkeviciute and Vytautas Landsbergis directed a popular documentary Dance in the Desert (Šokis Dykumoje), produced by Zivile Gallego, about a prominent contemporary Lithuanian female writer Jurga Ivanauskaite (2009). Agne‘s latest fiction movie is Unknown Treasures (Lobis), fiction and adventure, (2022).

The newest documentary Muza premiers in the US at the Boston Baltic Film Festival right after its premier in Lithuanian movie theaters in February. The documentary tells a remarkable story of the Lithuanian female pianist genius Muza Rubeckyte, following her breathtaking carrier since her childhood to present.
